HARPER PETERSEN offers a wide range of shipbroking and commercial chartering services of container vessels of all different sizes. Harper Petersen is located in Hamburg, Germany, with branch offices in Shanghai, The Netherlands and Singapore. The company is a Joint Venture of the asset and investment manager MPC Capital in Hamburg and the Zech Group, which merged their activities in shipbroking, chartering and commercial ship management under the traditional shipbroker brand name.

Your tasks:

• facilitate Sale & Purchase transactions of second-hand vessels (mainly Container, General Cargo, Multipurpose, Bulkcarriers)
• Expand and cultivate our network of local clients and clients abroad
• Maintain a regular dialogue with the local and international shipping and broking community
• Identify profitable investment opportunities in cooperation with our Hamburg based head office
• 
  

Your profile:

• You have completed an apprenticeship as shipping merchant and/or shipping related studies already and have a comprehensive understanding of the market
• The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 3-5 years of broking experience and has established a client network and a track record of S&P transactions already
• You are a team player with good communication skills and a high level of social competence
• You have a convincing personality and are fluent in English
• You are willing to travel internationally for customer care
•
