Do you have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field – ideally Maritime Technology or Naval Architecture – and a drive to master the intricacies of Quality Assurance and Quality Control? What can you expect as a Trainee QA/QC:

As a QA/QC Trainee at Damen Naval, you won't just be observing – you'll be at the heart of our Production Department, actively involved in a wide range of critical activities. You'll gain hands-on experience in:

1. Core QA/QC Execution & Support:

• Coordinating and ensuring the execution of all QA/QC activities in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan.
• Collaborating on-site during inspections, applying your technical knowledge to real-world scenarios and observing and assisting in ensuring that inspection protocols are being applied correctly during production processes.
• Developing robust test plans to guarantee the highest standards.
• Ensuring the availability of quality standards for Production and advising about its application.
• Learning about certification requirements.

2. Analysis, Improvement & Advisory:

• Identifying and documenting opportunities for continuous improvement, directly shaping our processes.
• Analyzing findings to provide data-driven recommendations to management on product and process enhancements.
• Initiating (cross-departmental) quality improvement sessions based on production remarks.
• Investigating (multi-project) trends on reported remarks and performing root cause analyses.

3. Team Support & Foundational Learning:

• Supporting the identification of adequate QA/QC team members and assisting in tracking team capacity for various projects.
• Learning how to prioritize tasks based on risk assessments conducted by senior QA/QC team members.
• Contributing to the growth of our team by supporting the training of staff in QA/QC best practices.
• Creating and maintaining production-specific and multi-project templates.
