We are Clearwater Ship Management B.V., a leading shipping company active in international tanker shipping.
With a diverse fleet of small tankers, we transport a wide range of oil products and chemicals for various clients mainly in Europe, but also worldwide.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Technical Superintendent to oversee the technical management and maintenance of our tanker vessels.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of assigned vessels in compliance with international regulations, company standards, and client requirements.

The Role:

• Monitor and manage the technical condition of tanker vessels.
• Ensure vessels operate in compliance with Class, Flag State and other statutory regulations.
• Visit the vessel regularly for inspections and report on technical status.
• Manage the vessels technical budgets.
• Liaise closely with onboard crew, suppliers, contractors, and classification societies.
• Support and guide Chief Engineers on technical matters and troubleshooting.
• Ensure prompt response to technical emergencies and breakdowns.
• Collaborate with procurement for spare parts and service arrangements.
• Follow up on planned maintenance systems (PMS) and vetting observations.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise dry dockings, repairs and major overhauls.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of shipping, marine engineering, and relevant international maritime regulations.
  Excellent planning, budgeting, and project management skills.
• Ability to communicate in English effectively, both written and spoken.
• Experience with Planned Maintenance Software.
