The Role

As a Maritime Purchaser, you are responsible for purchasing technical and nautical goods and services.
You maintain contact with ship officers, superintendents, and suppliers, monitor delivery times, and ensure the best price-quality ratio.
You will work closely with the technical department, external warehouses, and transport providers.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Purchasing parts, materials, and services for ocean-going tankers
• Preparing and managing quotations, purchase orders, inventories, and framework agreements
• Negotiating with (international) suppliers on prices, delivery times, and conditions
• Analysing procurement needs and onboard inventory
• Monitoring stock levels and delivery reliability
• Collaborating with other departments to optimize procurement and delivery strategies

Your Qualifications and Competences

• A completed MBO or HBO education, preferably in maritime or technical fields
• Work experience as a purchaser, preferably in the maritime or technical sector
• Proficient in Dutch and/or English, spoken and written
• Familiarity with software (we use Office 365 and Cloud Fleet Manager)
• A proactive and solution-oriented attitude
